I bought one of your puppies from you just a few months ago and thought you might like to see some pictures!! Scruffy is his name, I think it suits his personality just right. He's a fiesty one... I think we're perfect together!! He seems to be a perfect balance with Amos' (our german shepherd) personality too! They're BEST FRIENDS, almost inseperable!! I absolutely love this little guy, he's so energetic and lively, definitely a free-spirit! Thank you so much for such a beautiful dog! I hope all is well at the farm!! :)

Thank you for staying in touch! I was just thinking the other day, I've got to send you more pictures of Scruff, he's really growing up!! I wish I could put into words how much I love this little guy. He greets me at the door every day with the cutest little howl and sleeps right next to me every night. There is NEVER a dull moment with him. I definitely look forward to purchasing another puppy from you in the future - He's the best puppy I've ever had! :)

Hi, Mary Lisa!
Lily is doing well. She is eating a bit more and settling in. She is very sweet and loves to play. She has been doing her business outside, too! Although she does go in her crate to play and take naps, she does prefer sitting on laps or next to us on the floor. Lily does like to try to get Frizz to play with her but Frizz is so much bigger she doesn't want to hurt Lily.

Lily went to the vet this morning. She is 3# 5 oz! She goes for her next booster March 23rd.

Thank you for a beautiful puppy! Barry just loves her to pieces already! We really enjoyed meeting you and your "family"!

Hello Mary Lisa,

Words cannot express just how adorable my Carkie puppy is! I have never had a child, but I think I know what it feel like now to have that special kind of love that you only feel when you have a baby! LOL
We are going to call him Tiger! His markings (for now) and his bold personality are fitting. He and Cody are great together so far. Playing, napping and drinking water together!

He just went potty outside. I am very tired today from a late night out and then holding Tiger till about 1 a.m. and then getting up to play with him at 6:00 a.m.!!
I am going to have severe seperation axiety tomorrow when I go off to work! I just want to hold him and kiss him all day long-

Anyway- as soon as I get my pics uploaded I will pass hem along-

Hi Mary Lisa-

It’s been a while. Tiger (Carkie) is doing great. Getting big. I tell him every day he needs to stay a baby for his mommy. I just love that puppy to pieces! He is still learning how to go potty outside but is improving all the time. He sleeps all night in our bed without a peep. He and Cody are buddies now. Cody even looks for him when Tiger is off doing his own thing. Tiger has really lifted Cody’s spirits! They are really cute together- Tiger races all around the house and has Cody chasing him – just when Cody is close and thinks he can get Tiger- he slides under our couch and peeks his head out and barks! We watch them chase like this for hours before bed. It is great for wearing them both out before bed.
Anyway just wanted to check in with you and let you know what a wonderful pup we got from you !

Hi Mary Lisa,

Glad all is going well for you and all the dogs! I recognize that picture of one of the Carkie puppies; it is my own Puppy Chase!!

Chase is still as cute as ever! He is the most friendly, happy little guy, and according to our trainer, very, very smart. He goes to Puppy Play Group each week for socialization, and everyone there thinks “Crazy Chase” is great, he will literally play with any and every dog that comes through the group ~ big or small, and has never had any issues with being either aggressive or timid.

Here is a photo of him playing in the snow, which he loved. Just wanted you to know how happy I am with my little Carkie and what a great dog he is turning out to be. He has lost a little of his puppy color, and is mostly blond with gold and some grey mixed in, but all the black has gone. He is about 9 ½ pounds now (at almost 8 months) and a really good size, not too small but still not too big to easily travel with me.

Hey Mary Lisa,

I can't even tell you how much we are in love with Phoebe. Besides being the cutest dog in the world, and sweet and cuddly too, we didn't realize how smart she is. Last week I started to teach her some little commands, and she is learning them faster than I can teach her. Within 3 days she had learned sit, sit up, give me your paw, down, roll over, and just yesterday she learned "tippy toes" - she stands up on her hind legs and turns around in a circle. Our big dog Tanner can do a bunch of tricks too, but it looks so much cuter with a little dog.

While I have your ear, is there a medical reason that I should have Phoebe spayed? Is it detrimental to her health if I don't have her spayed? She must have already had heat already, and if she did, we weren't able to tell, so I hate to put her through surgery if it really doesn't make any difference. Also, her adult teeth have come in, but her baby teeth haven't come out yet, so she has two rows of teeth top and bottom. Will her baby teeth need to be removed by the vet? If so, and there is a medical reason we should have her spayed, then we should probably have the teeth done at the same time. Would they do that?

Hi Mary Lisa,
We are doing good here in Illinois. Just thought I would give you an update on Hallie. I have pictures but have not downloaded them yet but I will soon. She is walking on a leash now and doing really well….just like an old pro, a midget pro! She has been doing really well going potty outside but I have been very diligent in taking her out often. This weekend I was working around the house and not being prompt enough, I guess, because she went to the back door twice and sat there until I came and let her out. I was so proud of her. Before I even came and picked her up from you I bought one of those pretty ribbons with bells on it for them to ring when they want out. It has been on the back door since she came home and, of course, it jingles every time I open the back door to let her out. Yesterday I was reading the Sunday paper and what do I hear? Jingle jingle jingle from the kitchen. I looked in there and there she sat at the back door. She made my day!

We had a storm here last night and she was not crazy about the thunder and wanted to be in my lap. I tried playing it off like it was no big deal so she wouldn’t be afraid in the future. She didn’t shake or anything like some dogs do so I was happy about that. We went to bed and she snuggled up with me like she usually does. There was one loud clap of thunder after that and she scooched right up with her head tucked into my neck and went right back to sleep.

She is such a good girl and I am so glad that I picked her out of all the litter. She is beautiful and smart and funny and Miss Personality Plus. Now that all three dogs are eating the same dog food, she is eating just fine. In fact, the cockers are doing better, skin wise, by eating the Taste of the Wild. Good move!

Well, have a good week and I’ll get some pictures off to you. She is growing but still a little bit of a thing. I hope she doesn’t get too big but I know there is still growing room ahead. I may be need to feed or something to stunt her growth! Just kidding, I wouldn’t do that!

Hi Mary Lisa,
Hallie says hi and she is doing great! I started taking her to doggy day care a couple of weeks ago because she is just so full of energy. She would be so wound up by the time I got home from work that she was like the Tazmanian Devil! Well, she LOVES daycare and playing with all the dogs. She is the youngest and smallest but doesn’t let that stop her. The man that runs it says she is like the good will ambassador for dogs/puppies. She wants to play so bad and will not take no for an answer. Even the most resistant finally gives in to her he says. Last night when I picked her up he said….she is such an awesome dog! They love her to death there and she feels the same way. I guess her favorite playmates are 2 min pins, a beagle and a border collie (is that the small collie?). I couldn’t believe it the first day I took her there, there are about 20-30 dogs there and most of them big, high energy dogs like labs and retrievers and collies. Hallie doesn’t care, she just runs right in there every morning as if to say, here I am, the fun can begin!

Everyone loves her and thinks she is about the cutest thing they have ever seen. I must agree. She has had 2 haircuts and did great with both. The first one was just to kind of trim her up so I could see her eyes again! The last one was about 2 weeks ago and she got more of a real haircut and looks adorable. Most people tell me she looks like a teddy bear. Rebel and Chloe are still not fond of her when she is wound up but like laying with her when she is tired. Hallie will snuggle up to them and they will take naps together.
I am going to send you a deposit for another one of Goldilocks’ puppies from her next litter!

She makes me laugh all the time. I'm excited to be getting her a sister to play with then Goldilocks' newest litter is ready to come home.

We are doing great! Getting ready for Easter and enjoying Bella! She has grown. She got her last shots a couple of weeks ago and she's almost 3 lbs!! A complete giant :)

Dear Mary Lisa,

Hello! I'm doing excellent, thank you! I hope all is well with you and the farm. Yes, I meet people every day that fall immediately in love with Dulce. I tell a lot of people about you and how wonderful you are :)

Dulce, (Twister's Fourche pup) is no more than 6.5 lbs. It is quite amazing! She just had her 1st birthday so I don't think she will get any larger. She is still perfectly stout and almost looks like a miniature West Highland-of course brindle. Except sometimes she makes a pouty face like a Yorkie. And of course she is tiny and silky/wiry hair. I thought she might be small being a female and sort of the runt of the litter. With DNA you never know what you might get (as you know).

Happy Easter! We will keep in touch :)

I thank you eternally for Dulce, she is my best friend and she brings such great delight to everyone!!! She is truly a love (& a ham-haha) and tries to win everyones' hearts without a single bad bone in her little body :)

Hi Mary Lisa,

I am just writing to let you know that puppy #2, now known as Puppy Chase is doing great. He now weighs 4lbs, 7oz, and has finished 2 more rounds of immunizations and is old enough to venture out a bit now. My vet thinks he will probably be almost as big as his mother, he definitely does not take after his father in that regard, but that is fine with me.

He has dog walkers that visit him twice a day, and sometimes bring a friend to play with, which he loves. He is a great little traveler, and has been Texas to meet his extended family, and also goes to the beach every weekend.

I took him last night for the first time to a puppy play group and he was beside himself crazy about the whole idea. It was very cute. He starts his Puppy Kindergarden next week, so I hope that is fun and productive for us both ~ we have some issues with biting/mouthing, but we are working on it. Housebreaking went pretty easily for him.

He is a great little fella and I am very happy with him, hope all the rest of his litter and the other dogs are doing well also.

Hi Mary Lisa,

Carol had told me that we forgot to send you a Christmas card from Poland with the three of us in it. I was never really a dog person but after Herman, I am a changed person. He is a true joy in our lives. Many thanks for bringing him to us.

We were in Poland this past Christmas and back in the summer. It is a very friendly dog country. Most places we can take him into the restaurants and bars and he can sit either on the floor or on a chair with us.

He has many friends in Poland. Later, down the road when we move to Poland we will be picking up a buddy for the house. We will talk then.
