SEA ISLE CITY — About 50 dogs of all sizes competed Saturday in the annual Paws on the Promenade dog show, run jointly by the city and the Beacon Animal Rescue Shelter in Upper Township.
Hershey, an 8-month-old Yorkie-Lhasa apso that owners Hal and Kim, of Voorhees, Camden County, said Santa Claus delivered to their daughter Megan, won second place in the Best Dressed Small Breed category.

We are having so much fun with 'Angus'! (Fourche Terrier) You'd be so proud of him...potty training is amazing!
He stops in mid play - looks around and runs to the potty pad whenever 'nature calls.' He is so
smart...sits up on his hinds legs for a treat - when I ask him to, and is such a joy to play with. I
was off today with him, and he fell asleep in my arms and was so sweet! He is such a doll, and again - so smart and anxious to please!
He is wonderful and you obviously have made a difference in his beginnings! As I've read in both the book you have provided, which is very helpful, but in other areas, the first few weeks are so crucial to the temperament of these babies, and our little guy is so good!
Our daughter received a Sheltie - 3 months old, and this poor baby, now 5 months is so bashful. After reading the book you sent, it is obvious that her little guy did not get the attention he needed at an early age. I've passed information to her from this book that I hope will be helpful.

He goes bike riding with us. Loves to go and actually will sit still for his bike harness to be put on. Now that he is
used to the ride – he is all about looking around for squirrels, birds and people.
Swimming is his newest adventure. He is all about the water! I love his coat – as he just shakes and he is basically dry.
He is just a doll! A FEISTY doll, but so loving, very playful and so darn smart!! He learns tricks so quickly,
and enjoys showing off. I wish we were closer so you could play with him and see what a great job you did
with him. I’d love to have another – but it is good also to have Angus be an
only child. I always mention you to those that meet him and are taken with him.

about a year later:
Angus loves watching baseball and recently enjoys chasing football players! He actually watches TV with us and interacts with any animals and close ups of mean looking men that appear. So funny! If we don't react he runs to get us and barks until we come to watch and react or clap in response! He is a crackup! He is the life of all family parties.
We love him so much! And of course spoil him rotten! Best little kid ever.

Just wanted to thank you so much for your time yesterday! We loved playing with all of your animals and appreciate you for letting us come out to choose the puppy! Miss Zoey had a wonderful ride home - probably b/c she was held for 8 hours! She had a great night, just whining a few times - and both times to go outside and potty! YEAH!! She ate a full breakfast this morning and is now laying on my bed on her back being rubbed to death by my kids........her life is good! :0)

Zoey is doing fabulous! She just got back from her first trip to the beach! Yes, you can use whatever you like from us on your web site! And I have to tell you the potty training is fabulous!! Because she was raised outside, that is the ONLY place she wants to go potty!! She will whimper when she needs to go and outside we head - fabulous!! Thanks again!! We will be in touch!

Our Zoey is perfect for us!!! She is very laid back, LOVES playing with the kids, is spoiled ROTTEN, was very easy to housebreak, sleeps in my bed (with her head on a pillow) and just fabulous! We love her so much and she is exactly what we wanted!

Thank you so much for our darling puppy! She’s just darling and already settled in. And, she hasn't had one accident yet. I was ready for potty training to take six months to a year. But, she’s so good and very smart!!! It was a delight to see the farm…thanks for all the time spent with us.

Cody has turned out to be an AWESOME PUP! As soon as we brought him home he knew to go potty outside so house training was rather simple for me. He is very sweet, friendly, playful, & affectionate – he loves to give kisses, esp in the morning. I took him to puppy class at PetSmart one week after being home. His 2 classmates were purebred Yorkies [such a cute class – they all got lots of attention] & Cody surpassed both of them hands down & he was the youngest. He loves playing with his toys, my 4 yr old niece, Makayla & her cat, Sebastian. Cody is also a fearless little guy when it comes to other dogs/animals, mainly because he’s so friendly - he definitely does not think of himself as “small”. He recently went after a BUCK in my boyfriends back yard - I was right there & grabbed him & the deer took off anyway but I could not believe his selection of playmates – I stay close by at all times just in case, have too.
Cody has won the hearts of the vet & groomer alike, referring to him as a “doll-baby” & “tough cookie”. As sweet as he is, he’s also a tough little guy. He’s never even flinched at any shots. He weighs 7.8lbs now, is very light in color [still getting lighter] & his hair has finally filled in, along with the rest of his body. He has been a complete joy for me & my entire family. I could not ask for a pup with a better personality than what I’ve received with Cody – I absolutely adore him!!!

Dear Mary Lisa
We have not laughed, smiled and enjoyed ourselves as much as we have since Elvis (Shorkie) arrived. He came and made himself at home. The first night he slept all night. Then he started to check out the house and all of us. He is people friendly, and playful. At first he didn't know what to do with balls, now he plays with three of them. Everyone who meets him, loves him.
He follows us around all day long. He wants to be included in all activities.

Just wanted to give you an update on Charlie (Yorkie). He is the most adorable wonderful puppy. I LOVE HIM TO DEATH!!!!!!
Took him to the vet on Tues., weighed in at 1#12oz. The vets was EXTREMELY impressed w/him. She said his is the most perfect little package she has ever seen ~ all is tight, legs and hips great, teeth fabulous, personality to kill!
Sir Charles sleeps w/mommy and Sophie every night. He usually sleeps in the crux of my arm. Last night, he came to bed, rolled over so I could rub his little belly and fell sound asleep in the crux of my arm within one minute, then began to snore!! OMG!!! This little man is just soooooo perfect. I love him dearly.
Charlie is "everyone's" friend, loves to run and romp w/the larger dogs and keeps up w/them all the way. I can't begin to tell you how very happy I am with him.

Just wanted to give you another update.
My little Charlie is the most wonderful of all of my dogs. He is SOOOOOO loving you wouldn't believe it. This a.m. I woke up w/him sleeping on my pillow, front paws over my shoulder and face on mine. I love him so much. He is still very tiny, 1#15oz., but you would think he was 50#. He gets along so very well with the other dogs... I almost think he wants to be the pack leader.
Charlie is also sooooo very smart. Does all his business outside, sits on command, etc. OMG I love him!!!
Can't wait to get my Yorkiepoo as I know he will be wonderful as well.

Good Evening Mary Lisa,
Just wanted to let you know all is well w/the boys (puppies).
Charlie is so attached to me you wouldn't believe it. He runs around w/the best of them for and hour or so, and when he is pooped, he barks to come up on me, climbs on my chest, curls up in a little ball and falls asleep. Today, as he fell asleep he rolled onto his back and wanted a belly rub. Within seconds he was snoring, within minutes he was dreaming and it was funnier than heck. He was barking, whining, his legs were going. Oh my.... he is the funniest little guy!!!! I love him to death.
Then there is Mr. Handsome, (Yorkipoo). He melts everyone's hearts. What a beautiful puppy. What a RIP! He runs w/the best of them, jumps on them, for hours. He is a card. When he gets tired he literally flops on the floor and is sound asleep.
I have NEVER been so in love in my life.
Had I found these dogs 30 years ago I NEVER would have wasted my life w/men!

Hi Mary Lisa,
Max is the best puppy ever! (Shorkie) He is such a sweetheart. We play all day long (when he's not sleeping) and he only cried in his crate one night. I eased him into it because he was away from his family and how could I not help the little guy? The first night he was sad and every night since then he goes into his crate and falls asleep. And he's only had a couple of accidents. He goes out every hour and tells me every time he needs to go potty.
I attached a couple of pics in his bed. He runs around too much outside that I can't get any pictures! We're going to try again today..
Just wanted you to know he's doing good and I'm so happy to have him. Thank you for everything.

I really wish you could see her! She has settled in just like she'd been here all the time. She sleeps through the night and is doing well with her potty training.
I took her to my vet yesterday and he was most impressed. He works closely with the vet schools of LSU and Auburn and is not easily impressed. He said that he favors hybrids because they are the best of two breeds if bred correctly. He was also impressed with you as a breeder and said that you'd done a very good job. I just thought you might like to hear that...
She has the cutest personality and is so very smart. We have named her Gabriella, calling her Gabby for short. I think she knows her name already. She is so little that I had to put bells on her collar just so I'd know were she was. She is so fast and can get away from me in the house before I know it. The bells have worked just great, though.

We got some more things this weekend and they made signs for him they are hanging all over the house (welcome home Brutus we love you!!). Mary Lisa, I just wanted to thank you for our little guy Hershey (Yorkie Apso). He is so happy and has the best personality. We just love him so much. He loves to play and loves going outside. He loves fetching little tennis balls and frisbees and is so proud when he brings them back. He plays so hard romping around and wagging his little tail that he just gets so exhausted he sleeps all night long! We took him to the vet last week and she was so impressed by how healthy he is and she said that you did a really great job raising him for his first 10 weeks - thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I just can not say it enough. There were other families that unfortunately lost their pets from the same place that we got our first puppy. I have been in contact with some of them and highly recommended you to them if they are willing to try again.

Zoe is doing well, Vet says she's perfect. She is going tomorrow for a bath and a massage. She is already acting the princess. She is so sweet and fun. The girls are loving her and so is everyone else. I didn't realize this but she is very content to sleep on an older person's lap. She plays kinda rough with us but put her on the elderly and she's out cold. We love that as we have plenty of willing laps in the family. I think we got just the one we needed. Later, after getting a second puppy "Zack"
I'm sending you a picture of Zack, I hope it's clear enough for you to see. He puts his stuffed animal on the couch to use as a pillow for his nap. He also piles his toys into his crate every night so he can play at bedtime. He literally runs around the room and collects them and throws two or three in there, then he hops in and lays down. Zack is happy, goofy, head first into everything and Zoe is his bossy big sister. She is old before her time. She is very patient and calm and that's a good thing with Zack around.

Well, I must say, it has been one of the most joyous weekends of my entire life. I've been a Mommy to Sgt. Mary Hays & and Auntie to Uncle Sam for 3 full days, and my cheeks hurt from non-stop smiling.
Sarge & Sammy (who I am now babysitting for a week) spent the entire day playing, romping, wrestling, eating, drinking & peeing. After 2 days of "nibbling" at her food, she suddenly had to beat her brother to the food bowl. I have filled it TWICE today, and they are both "currently" napping, very fat & happy little pups.
Everyone seems to be adjusting very well, and both babies seem happy. I am constantly AMAZED that they let me know when they have to go out. Only 2 small accidents. I have Robyn's bell hanging on my back door and heard it ringing a couple of hours ago..... It was lil Sammy, pawing at it. I picked him up & took him outside. Within a minute, he peed & then started circles to poop. I was sooooo proud of him! (and made sure he knew it)
These 2 babies are the smartest, most personable, little puppies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I can't even imagine how much more joy they will bring to all of us over their lifetimes. My husband is already talking about another "Oreo" puppy in Spring of 2011 to keep Sarge company when Sammy is at home.

SAMMY'S JUST THE MOST SPECTACULAR LITTLE CREATURE EVER!!!! He won Pet of the month in the Groton herald!
Sharon & family took such good care of him while I was away AMEN....
Doug is as much in love as I am....Liberty is getting there.... perhaps a bit pouty at first, but now sharing her favorite toys, being Alpha, teaching Pirate Wrestling, showing yard boundaries, chasing chipmunks, circus dancing, and finally, snuggling w/ Sam.
W/O a doubt, one of the smartest dogs I have ever loved/owned. He is PURE LITTLE BOY. Reminds me of our 23 year old son as a toddler.

I am resting w/ a warm & fuzzy heart tonite...and his name Sam. he can sit & wait with one hand commands but screams like a banchee when he goes into his sooo perfect crate...totally taking advantage of Doug by crying like a girl....I just keep reminding him that he's not the BOSS of me. Training Doug is ALWAYS harder than training the dog----AGAIN!!!!

Just wanted you to know how much we LOVE our Sarge!
Our beautiful puppy is so much more than we could have expected. Sarge, is Mikey's BEST friend. They are together ALL the time. She is such a wonderful addition to our family. YOUR baby girl came to us with so much love in her heart, that it made it hard not to love her instantly.

3RD--- Sassy UNCLE Sam met my groomer of 17 years today...funny how just a tiny mani/pedi/butt shave knocks the SASS right out of an 8 pound/ 5 MO old puppy. It was beautiful. I bathed a Sheltie while Sam met Pampered Paws. He was such a big brave boy.
Without hesitation.. I tell you...this little floppy dog/muppet baby/gremlin is truly....WELL, he's just the most ADORABLE dog we've ever owned. He's right out of a Disney cartoon. While Liberty doesn't always agree, she is the most patient & loving big sister to him.
Will try to send some shots from our AUTUMN @ the Cabin. You know me, it might take me a couple of tries.

I met you last September when I picked up Max, he was the first male taken from the Camo and Gizmo litter last July. I'm attaching a pic....it's crazy he was black and tan when we got him and look at him now! His coat is so pretty and soft, and he's just the best little guy. We love him so much!!!
I wondered if Camo was going to get "married" again any time soon? Max loves other dogs and people so much, we feel like he might need a friend.

I hope you are doing well. I thought I’d send you a couple updated pictures of Pumpkin’s little Bella. She will be 7 months on the 28th of this month. You used to call her “wags” and believe it or not her little tail still goes a mile a minute when she is excited and happy.
She is such a good little girl and we truly LOVE her to death. She is litter box trained and does GREAT with it. She is playful and fun and also the sweetest cuddly little lap dog. She has a great temperament around people. She is my little baby.
I would love to get another one. The kids and I have been trying to convince “dad”.

I wanted to take a minute to up date you on our puppy (Shorkie). Her name is Sunshine, which seems to be very fitting for her. She has been quite the little girl. She came home to a family of 6 other dogs. She seemed to take to the biggest one Rose my St. Bernard. My basset hound couldn't figure out what she was and was scared for about 2 days I think he is still not sure what to do with her. Yesterday she got bath #2. I was watering my flowers and she was jumping into mud puddles and trying to get the water hose - she was having a blast. After she was wet it was through the dirt. She was pretty tired last night. She has only had one accident in the house which is pretty awesome. My daughter is home and she has already taught her to sit you tell her to sit and she plumps down on her butt so funny you just have to laugh. My husband can't believe how active she is we are very impressed. I am glad that I decided to get my puppy from you. The puppy was well socialized with other dogs she loves playing outside. Everyone has truly fallen in love with her!

Just going to give you an update on Sunshine out in North Dakota. She is doing really well she loves the snow it doesn't seem to slow her down one bit. We are very happy with her. We bought a yorkiepoo from you back in June, "Zoey". We just thought we'd drop a quick note to tell you how well she's doing. She's perfectly healthy and happy. She has an unusual habit we find adorable. She's been teaching US new tricks. Although we've managed to teach her to sit, speak, and "go out", she has decided we need to fetch. She picks up her ball in her mouth, tosses it across the room and barks for us to go get it and bring it to her. She is a huge hit wherever she goes and I suspect is favored over the grandchildren as the grandparents call and ask for the dog. She is more precious to us than we could have imagined and is giving us quite a work out. She absolutely loves to go hiking but insists on leading and will actually out run whoever dares to get ahead of her. We could go on and on about all of her qualities. We keep looking at your puppy pictures and keep thinking we may want another one. Who knows. Thank you so much for raising such wonderful puppies.

Without hesitation.. I tell you...this little floppy dog/muppet baby/gremlin is truly....WELL, he's just the most ADORABLE dog we've ever owned. He's right out of a Disney cartoon. While Liberty doesn't always agree, she is the most patient & loving big sister dog to him. Some days, when you wake up, YOU JUST NEED A RAINBOW :)

I wanted to say hi and let you know how Penny (female from Quizz's first litter) is doing. She is healthy, happy and a little mischievous. She is such a little girl (~ 6 lbs) with big personality and a huge part of our family.
Thanks for keeping in touch. We have thought about bringing her back some time to see her relatives.

Baxter is almost 1 year old. I am so glad I got him from you. He is so smart, and there can't be a cuter fourche terrier! I would love to get anther one so he could have a playmate, its def something I want to consider. I just wanted to send you an updated photo of him.

I really love raising these little guys, but you know, the best part of all is being able to do things like this for people like you! The folks that I meet doing this are just wonderful!
